There many factors that can lead to acne in teenagers and adults. This may include an overproduction of androgen hormone, oil glands that are producing an excess of sebum, lack of proper facial cleansing, or even genetic predisposition. With the rise in food intolerances/allergies there is also a possibility that this can be a contributing factor to acne. Pores can get clogged with dirt, dead skin cells, or make-up which can lead to growth of bacteria forming a pimple or blackhead.

Kenalog Cystic Acne Injections
Cystic acne develops deep under the skin, forming tender red bumps on the skin's surface. Kenalog is a corticosteroid with powerful anti-inflammatory effects that can treat these painful lesions and inflamed pimples. When injected into acne lesions, swelling, redness, and tenderness caused by acne are improved within 72 hours. Multiple treatments may be required depending upon the size of the lesion.
