By now you have heard of the Coca Cola to Pepsi comparison, and now we have Dysport to Botox! Dysport is another neuromodulator that softens muscle movement which leads to smoother skin even when you smile, frown or grimace. Not only can we use it for crows feet, 11’s between the brows, and forehead lines, we also utilize it for brow lift, down turned smiles, dimpled chins, neck bands, excessive armpit sweat (hyperhidrosis) and gummy smiles. Your nurse injector will ask you to make some pretty funny facial expressions as they decide where Dysport will be best utilized on you. Don’t worry you won’t get that desperate housewife surprised look… unless you ask for it…. Dysport can be customized to your anatomy and look very natural. This treatment is quick, virtually painless and has no downtime.
Dysport Treatment
Dysport treatment takes a total of 30 minutes or less and the injections themselves only take a few minutes. Most patients find their injections to be nearly painless but we can offer a topical anesthetic or Pro Nox to ease your worry or discomfort. After the injections are complete, you can immediately return to work or your other daily activities.
Dysport Recovery
Dysport results can start to show as soon as 2-3 days after treatment, but the complete results can take up to 2 weeks. Typically this is a “no-downtime” treatment but sometimes tiny bruises, mild swelling, and tenderness at the injection sites can occur. Smooth and wrinkle reduced skin will last for about 8 weeks, and movement slowly returning around 12-16 weeks. Results are best maintained with consistent treatment every 3-4 months. Patients can expect natural-looking results that enhance rather than change their appearance.
